DRESS CODE

The members of Clandon Regis require all guest players to maintain a smart standard of dress, whether playing on the course or in the clubhouse. Our dress code is printed so that visitors do not inadvertently wear incorrect clothing.

1. Golf Shoes
Proper golf shoes must be worn on the course at all times. Inside, golf shoes of any type may only be worn in the locker rooms and pro's shop.
2. Shirts
On the course, all shirts must have a collar or a rolled neck; men's shirts must be "tucked in". Ladies may wear sleeveless shirts.
3. Shorts
Must be tailored and long, for everyone at all times.
4. Socks
Men's should preferably wear long socks with shorts but short white socks will be accepted.
5. Hats and Caps
Please do not wear headgear in the clubhouse.
6. Diners
Men must wear jackets & ties after 7.30pm, when dining.

Forbidden clothing anywhere at Clandon Regis Golf Club

'T' shirts, denim & all jeans, leggings, tracksuits and trainers. (In the case of juniors there may be some relaxation of the Jeans/trainers ban when these are considered to be fashion items)
It is expected everyone will endeavour to wear 'smart' golf dress on the course and 'smart' casual dress in the clubhouse.

ETIQUETTE

It is in the interest of good golf that players should understand the conduct that is expected on our golf course. The following notes are therefore printed for your guidance:

* Play without delay and be ready to take your shot when it is your turn.
*
Do not play your shot unless the players in front are out of range and never tee off on a par 3 until the group ahead have left the green.
*
Players searching for a ball should signal the group behind to pass as soon as it becomes clear that the ball will not be easily found. Do not use your 5 minutes search time before letting the following group through.
* Do not mark your score on the green. Wait until you reach the next tee.
*
Rake footprints from all bunkers and leave the rake inside
the bunker.
*
Replace all divots that you make.
*
Never walk across tees with a trolley, nor walk on greens whilst carrying your bag.
*
Use a pitch mark repairer and repair any marks you make (or see), on the greens.
*
Keep up with the game in front of you. It is not sufficient to stay clear of the group behind!
*
Do not walk between green and green side bunkers with a trolley.

This is not an exhaustive list of golf etiquette, but it gives you the general idea, so that everyone can have an enjoyable game. Clandon Regis' Captains strongly encourage you to learn as much as you can about the Rules of Golf. They are there to help you, rather than penalise you. Don't forget, Club Pros are always willing to answer any questions you may have on rules or etiquette.
